First Day in Chile!

We got to the hotel and it is a great location...in the middle of everything!  It will definitely be an interesting experience since we do not have air/heat, dressers, blowdryers or hairstraighteners, cell phone service, and we cannot flush anything down the toliets.  It will take a little getting used to, but it is just so great being in Chile!  We met at 12:30 and went to Tiki Taco for lunch with the whole group (18 of us)!  It is this traditional Mexican restaurant and we ate yummy chips with Salsa Verde and then Carly and I split fajitas!  It was so amazing, best fajita I have ever had.  We also had Coca Colas and they came in this really cool glass bottle.  After lunch we met up with Javier and his brother and walked 30 minutes to a local soccer match.  We discovered that in Chile, there are a lot of stray dogs and they followed us all the way to the stadium!  The game was so cool and one of the most intense soccer games I have ever watched!  The players were kicking/running into each other and by the end of the game, there had been 5 red cards!  The fans behind the goal never stopped jumping and cheering to the music of loud drums.  The Chilean team was down 2 goals the entire game, but ended up coming back and winning 3-2 in the last minute!  The game was so much fun!  Afterwards, we went to the grocery store and bought water...it was so scary paying with Chilean money for the first time...luckily Jorge was our "Dad" and helped us :) We are all blogging now and going out for Margaritas later!  Chile is AWESOMEE!!
